Little kids

In this joyful one-hour drop-off class, preschoolers are welcomed into the kitchen as capable helpers with meaningful roles to play. Each week, our Happy Helpers practice purposeful skills—stirring, spreading, scooping, and chopping with safe tools—while preparing simple, seasonal recipes together.

Through hands-on exploration, children build confidence, independence, and pride in creating something they can share. This class offers a low-pressure, encouraging environment where students can engage with food at their own pace, explore new tastes and textures, and grow—both in the kitchen and beyond. This is a drop-off class for ages 3-5.

Happy Helpers is open to students of all abilities and we are a provider through the Children’s Long Term Support Waiver Program.

To celebrate the end of a wonderful year of Happy Helpers, we’re offering a special grown-up and me cooking class! Children and their caregivers will cook side-by-side while practicing skills learned throughout the year, exploring the tools we use, and sharing strategies to help keep the cooking going at home. This class is also a great opportunity for new families to experience the Happy Helpers program and see how we support young cooks. Join us for a joyful, hands-on class that celebrates your child’s growth and builds confidence in the kitchen together.
