Happy Place Cooking Space currently offers programming for adults and children with special needs and intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). For these classes, we work in partnership with several amazing organizations to support the unique needs of the participants. These classes are designed with accessibility in front of mind, so that everyone who wants a chance to participate can!

Our programming focuses on introducing and practicing, through repetition and with the use of a variety of accessible tools, skills that foster independence in the kitchen. Our goal is for every participant to experience the joy of discovery around new foods, cooking together, and having a positive experience in the kitchen.

Coming fall of 2025, we will be offering small group and one-on-one coaching for adults who are seeking to increase their independent living skills as it relates to cooking. Please email us at hello@happyplacecookingspace.org to inquire.

For more information on these classes, including having a child or loved one participate, volunteering, or offering this type of programming at your day program or organization, please email us at hello@happyplacecookingspace.org

Please join us on Wednesday, June 25 from 9am-11am for a sensory-friendly open house at Happy Place Cooking Space to meet our staff, see our kitchen, and learn more about our programming!

New to our classes? Join us for a fun, seasonal class this summer to learn how we teach cooking and integrate life skills into our classes. We’re offering a couple one-time all ages and abilities classes this summer, and we’d love to have you:
