teen & family programs
At Happy Place, cooking is about more than learning a recipe—it’s about building skills and connecting with others (and having a great time along the way!) Our teen and family programs offer hands-on opportunities to explore cooking in a welcoming, inspiring environment.
In our teen classes, students will learn real-life kitchen skills while discovering new foods and advanced techniques. These classses are offered as a series or a one-time drop in.
Family classes give kids and grown-ups the chance to cook side by side, learn together, and share a unique experience together. From specialty classes to seasonal experiences, there’s always something new to cook!
Please note for family classes: The minimum recommended age for children will always be listed with each class. Recommendations are based on the skills and activities involved in each specific experience.
We do accept CLTS Funding, if applicable, for all teen and family classes. Please email us at hello@happyplacecookingspace.org to register.
We do also offer private cooking classes for teens, adults, or families, led by talented local chefs — perfect for wellness programs, teacher outings, workplace team-building, or special celebrations like baby showers, retirement parties, and more. Each experience is hands-on, engaging, and designed to bring people together through food and fun.
You can find additional details on this page, and the best way to get started is by emailing us at events@happyplacecookingspace.org to inquire about availability and options.
